My Story
Hi! I’m Jessica Yarmey, a brand-builder and proud veteran within the fitness industry. I have worked in fitness since 2012, first with Gold’s Gym, then YouFit Health Clubs, then Club Pilates and most recently, I founded, grew and exited a kickboxing concept called KickHouse.
I’m currently working on a brand new concept in the fitness space, but the goal remains the same: empower people through fitness and entrepreneurship.
One of my favorite things about working in the fitness space is supporting people as they work to make positive changes to their lives and reach their own personal potential. I’m inspired everyday by the stories of members achieving things they never thought were possible. Being empowered in fitness leads to empowerment in life which is game-changing!
I’m passionate about breaking out of the way things have always been done, especially in franchising. Currently, only about 30% of franchise owners are women. Given the collaborative nature of the business model, the number should be much closer to 50%. I love the franchising business model and I’m passionate about helping people de-risk entrepreneurship through franchising. There is no greater gift than the ability to work and thrive in your passion.
I’m a life-long athlete who played Division I soccer at Loyola University in Maryland and ran two marathons in “retirement.” I know the value of fitness and its ability to transform lives because it has transformed mine. Being an athlete has given me purpose and confidence and taught me how to be strong through weak times in my life.
My weekly workout routine consists of running, yoga, kickboxing, and listening to podcasts while I walk with my Belgian Malinois, Sarge.
